PALLAVI SHARDAA film with the current heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor is surely a big ticket to stardom for a girl who’s so far had to be content with brief roles in Bollywood. Pallavi Sharda makes a big leap this week with director Abhinav Singh Kashyap’s film Besharam. Does Pallavi have it in her to make the grade as a top Bollywood heroine?
Pallavi Sharda was born in Australia to Indian parents who kept her in touch with her Indian roots via Hindi films. Pallavi, a huge Sridevi fan, says she was hooked to Bollywood films at an early age and decided that she wanted to work in films. Though people around her often laughed off her fascination for films, Pallavi went on to take the first step towards realizing her dream by landing small roles in films like My Name Is Khan and Love Breakups Zindagi.
Now she’s set for a leap as the leading lady of ‘Besharam’ opposite Ranbir Kapoor.
Pallavi says Ranbir is her favourite actor in Bollywood and landing a role opposite him is a “big high”. In the movie she plays a Delhi girl.
Despite her upbringing in Australia, Pallavi is fluent in Hindi.
