Kareena Kapoor, Rani Mukherjee refuse to go ambitious biopic. for Begum Samru

It is not rare for our Bollywood hotties to go far and beyond to justify roles. Whether it is intimate scenes, flashing sexy legs or kissing onscreen, nothing can scare the ladies of B-town!
But every once in a while lines are drawn and swords are raised – figuratively of course.

Tigmanshu Dhulia, soon to be director of Beghum Samru recently revealed that both Kareena Kapoor and Rani Mukherjee rejected his movie because of the script’s requirement of nude and semi-nude scenes.
The role of real life warrior princess could have been a dream role for many actresses but Dhulia realised that the body-exposure required in the movie will not be acceptable to any A-listers.

“I’ll be honest. The role requires a lot of body exposure from its heroine. I went to Rani Mukherjee. She loved the script. But she declined the offer because of the nudity. Kareena Kapoor too said no for the same reasons. I don’t think any of the top actresses in our country would be comfortable with the nudity in Beghum Samru. Certainly not any of the A-listers. So it’s best if I sign an international actresss,” said Tigmanshu Dhulia in a statement to a leading English daily.
